Service Description
When You Cannot Keep Anything Down, Your Body Needs More Than Rest.
Morning sickness is one of the most misnamed experiences in pregnancy. For many women it is not limited to the morning, it is not mild, and in its more severe forms it makes eating, drinking, and functioning day to day extremely difficult. When nausea and vomiting are significant enough that you cannot keep food or water down, dehydration becomes a real and serious risk for both you and your baby. This is not a situation that willpower or crackers and ginger tea can reliably resolve.
The Pregnancy Package is designed specifically for this. It combines our Hydro Quench IV infusion, a complete bag of electrolyte fluid that restores hydration directly into the bloodstream, with a prenatal multivitamin add-on and your choice of either anti-nausea medication (Zofran) or anti-acid medication to address your primary symptom. The result is a 45-minute infusion that accomplishes what days of struggling to eat and drink often cannot: genuine hydration restoration, direct nausea or acid relief, and nutritional support for you and your growing baby.
Every session is administered by an RN who will review your health history and current medications before beginning. We understand that pregnancy requires an additional layer of care and consideration, and our nurses take that responsibility seriously in every session.
Ideal For:
- Pregnant women experiencing morning sickness, hyperemesis gravidarum, or any level of nausea that is affecting their ability to eat, drink, or function normally
- Those suffering from pregnancy-related acid reflux, heartburn, or GI discomfort that is not adequately controlled by oral medications
- Anyone who is struggling to stay hydrated during pregnancy and wants a safe, fast, nurse-administered solution
- Expectant mothers who want clinical-grade hydration and nausea relief without the wait, cost, and stress of an emergency room or urgent care visit
- Women in any trimester who want the reassurance of professional nursing care alongside their prenatal nutrient support
How You’ll Feel:
Most clients notice meaningful relief from nausea or acid symptoms within minutes of the anti-nausea or anti-acid medication taking effect through the IV. The hydration component typically produces a noticeable improvement in energy, reduced headache, and an overall sense of restoration within the 45-minute session. Many clients arrive feeling depleted and unwell and leave feeling genuinely better, more stable, and more capable of eating and drinking again. For those using the package regularly throughout a difficult first trimester, the consistent hydration and nutrient support can make a meaningful difference in how manageable pregnancy feels day to day.
Package Details
What Is in the Pregnancy Package and Is It Safe?
Safety is the primary consideration in every prenatal IV session at Vitality Infusions. The Pregnancy Package is built around components that are well-established in clinical settings for use during pregnancy, and every session begins with a brief nursing intake to review your current health status, trimester, and any medications or conditions your nurse needs to be aware of before proceeding.
Hydro Quench IV Base
Normal saline or the Hydro Quench Plus electrolyte formula provides the hydration foundation of your session. IV fluid restores blood volume and electrolyte balance directly, bypassing the gut that is often too unsettled to absorb fluids reliably during active nausea. Dehydration during pregnancy increases the risk of preterm contractions, reduced amniotic fluid, and nutritional deprivation for the developing baby. Restoring hydration quickly and completely is the most immediate priority the package addresses.
Multivitamin IV Add-On
The multivitamin add-on delivers a broad-spectrum blend of vitamins and minerals directly into the IV bag, ensuring your body receives essential micronutrients even during periods when eating is difficult or impossible. This is particularly important during the first trimester when nausea is most severe but fetal development is most nutritionally demanding. IV delivery ensures 100% bioavailability regardless of what is happening in the digestive system.
Anti-Nausea (Zofran / Ondansetron)
Zofran is one of the most commonly prescribed antiemetics in pregnancy and is widely used in obstetric and emergency medicine for the treatment of nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, including hyperemesis gravidarum. Delivered through the IV, Zofran works by blocking serotonin receptors in the gut and brain that trigger the nausea response, providing rapid and effective relief. Please discuss any concerns about Zofran use with your obstetrician or midwife if you have questions about its appropriateness for your specific situation.
Anti-Acid IV
Pregnancy-related acid reflux and heartburn are caused by a combination of hormonal relaxation of the lower esophageal sphincter and the physical pressure of the growing uterus on the stomach. For many women this becomes increasingly severe in the second and third trimesters. The anti-acid IV add-on provides fast-acting relief for heartburn, acid reflux, and general GI discomfort when oral antacids are not providing adequate control.
Key Benefits
- Rapid IV rehydration that restores blood volume and electrolyte balance without depending on an unsettled digestive system
- Direct nausea relief through IV Zofran, effective even when oral antiemetics cannot be kept down
- Acid and heartburn relief for pregnancy-related GI symptoms that disrupt daily comfort and sleep
- Broad-spectrum prenatal nutrient support delivered with 100% bioavailability through IV
- Professional nursing care and monitoring throughout the session with a brief intake specific to pregnancy
- Available via mobile delivery for clients who are too unwell to travel to the lounge
Who Is It For?
The Pregnancy Package is designed for pregnant women in any trimester experiencing nausea, vomiting, acid reflux, heartburn, or dehydration related to pregnancy symptoms. It is appropriate for clients who are otherwise healthy and not experiencing complications requiring hospital-level monitoring. If you are experiencing severe hyperemesis gravidarum, are unable to keep any fluids down for an extended period, or have been advised by your OB to seek hospital care, please follow your provider’s guidance. The Pregnancy Package is a supportive treatment designed to help you feel better and stay hydrated, not a replacement for medical care when escalation is warranted.
Important Notes
All prenatal IV sessions begin with a brief nursing intake. Please disclose your current trimester, your obstetric provider’s name, any medications you are taking, and any current pregnancy complications or conditions to your nurse before your session begins. Our nurses are experienced in prenatal care considerations and will flag anything that warrants a conversation with your OB before proceeding. Zofran use during pregnancy has been the subject of ongoing research and discussion. While it is widely used clinically, clients with concerns are encouraged to discuss its use with their obstetric provider. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or pregnancy complication.
What to Expect: Your Session
- Prenatal Nursing Intake: Your registered nurse (RN) reviews your current trimester, symptoms, medications, and any relevant health considerations before your session begins. This brief intake is standard for all pregnancy package sessions and ensures your infusion is appropriate and safely administered.
- Package Configuration: Your RN confirms your base infusion choice (Hydro Quench or Hydro Quench Plus) and your symptom relief selection (anti-nausea or anti-acid). Your IV bag is prepared with your multivitamin add-on included.
- Comfortable Setup: Settle into our heated massage chair in the lounge or get comfortable at your mobile service location. Your nurse places the IV catheter in just a moment, and your 45-minute infusion begins.
- Your Infusion Session (Approx. 45 minutes): Relax while your infusion runs. Your RN monitors you throughout the session. The anti-nausea or anti-acid medication is administered through your existing IV line during the session. Most clients begin to feel noticeably better well before the 45 minutes are up.
- Post-Infusion: Your catheter is removed, and you are free to go. No downtime, no activity restrictions. Many clients find they can eat and drink more comfortably in the hours after their session. If you are using the package regularly, your nurse can help you identify a schedule that provides the best ongoing relief.
